Are you afraid to go into your bathroom closet right now? There’s so much stuff you have no idea what to do with it. The solution is to start from scratch with an empty closet and refill from there. Chances are you’re going to have a lot of things that you don’t need. Here’s how you can take back not only your bathroom closet but any other room in your home!
1. Purge and clean out everything. Bring everything out in the open, especially things hidden in the very back that you probably haven’t seen in a while. Purge everything that you don’t need.
2. The point of organizing your closet is to improve the function and everything easy to obtain. Once everything is in a pile, you can determine whether or not it needs a container and what type. Larger items probably won’t need one. Think about aesthetics when picking out the boxes. Make sure you enjoy how they look.
3. After you get the containers, it’s time to start getting everything back in the closet. What do you use the most? Organize what you tend to grab the most on easy to access shelves and work from there.
4. Labeling might not be for everyone, but it can be beneficial for people who don’t know the system yet, or if the containers you use are solid.
